Jessica alerted us to this one: Here's a shot of WomenSpirit's new "fitted" blouse. The manufacturer says,
This is the clergy shirt you've been wanting! A stylish blouse with feminine shaped fit and 3/4 length sleeve. Darts in the front and back. Designed with a curving hem to be worn out. High hip length. We have two fabrics, a beautiful 100% Cotton End on End weave comes in French Blue or Charcoal Grey. Or, choose 65% Polyester/35% Cotton broadcloth in Black. Made in USA of imported fabric. New size range includes size 4.
Does anyone have a review? A consumer report, if you will?

I would just like to say that I would like to have a THIRD of the boobs clergy shirt models carry. Sheesh.
Amen to that. I have serious doubts about anyone but the model being able to fill the thing out.
I tried to order this shirt in black, and the website wouldn't let me! Sheesh, i definately have the boobs to fill it out; usually its trying to find a shirt that doesn't gap in the front!
This website is definately necessary! My wardrobe just gets blacker and blacker...
Sarah/Susan: careful what you ask for. . . I have the same issues as Kerygma, and I'd gladly trade!
Thanks for your wonderful site! and the great reviews!
I love the neckband collar shirt from womenspirit- but the tab collar one- well it looks straight out of the 'insitution' better under a lab coat... if only I wore round collars...
The Lydia shirts from Augsburg Fortress are not too bad... my only frustration is that shirt makers still think larger sizes equal larger necks... not for women!
I have to say that I haven't liked the WomenSpirit line. Sometimes a girl wants a shirt, not a shell or blouse, or 3/4 length sleeves that get caught in the crook of your elbow while you're doing all the important paperwork! I don't own the shirt, but I tried it. I wonder why it's difficult to find good quality cotton or linen shirts that button down for women.
And I have to just pipe up and say that I am not too fond of the Lydia line. Necks are a tad too small (unlike backwoods rev's view) and no room for a figure. If I wasn't so flat-chested I'd have a serious problem with them.
I've been pondering trying WomenSpirit for over a year now...if I do, I'll gladly give a product review.
Ok, I gave in and shelled out the $60 to try the 3/4 length shirt. It's not too bad. I like the way it fits, but its a tad short, so no wearing with low-rise pants! Anyone else think full collars are a pain in the butt to get on? Half the time I have to ask my husband to put it on for me cause i get so frustrated!
